Adam Lyth will make his Test debut for England while there are also reports that Mark Wood will be handed a debut in place of Chris Jordan. Matt Henry looks likely to get his first cap for New Zealand as their third seamer. Jimmy needs three wickets to reach 400. Weather forecast looks good.
Historically, New Zealand have never fared well in England with just 4 wins in 52 Test matches. However, New Zealand are in good form as of late with 6 wins, 2 losses and 2 draws in their last 10 Test matches. In their last 10 Tests away from home, they have 3 wins, 5 losses and 2 draws.
By contrast, England have 4 wins, 3 losses and 3 draws in their last 10 Test matches. Their record at home over their last 10 Tests includes 4 wins, 2 losses and 4 draws. England do enjoy playing at Lord's and since the turn of the century they have 16 wins, 5 losses and 9 draws here.
Batting first will be important - of the last 20 teams to bat first at Lord's, West Indies are the only team to lose.
