England are expected to keep faith with many of the players who suffered defeat by West Indies in Barbados for next week’s First Test against New Zealand.
On Thursday, national selector James Whitaker will meet Paul Farbrace, the interim coach, and fellow selectors Angus Fraser and Mick Newell in the Midlands to discuss the squad for the match at Lord’s, which starts on May 21. The two-match Investec Series concludes at Headingley early next month.
It is also possible that Andrew Strauss, England’s new director of cricket, will be present. Strauss took charge over the weekend as Peter Moores was sacked as coach and he will present his plan for the job to the media at Lord’s tomorrow.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
