* Shiv is a multi-millionaire who has invested his earnings wisely, so financially he'll be OK.
* BUT SHIV WILL NEVER RETIRE FROM CRICKET.
* Right now in Florida he is playing a big role in promoting cricket in schools in Florida, and once he stops playing he'll be able to devote more time to that endeavor.
* Shiv also previously said he would like to be an UMPIRE.
BOTTOM LINE:
* Shiv has big plans for life after playing cricket.

Shiv is a huge supporter of the new government in Guyana. Here is Shiv and his son Tage posing with Prime Minister Nagamootoo and Minister of National Security Khemraj Ramjattan

* There was also a photo in theKaieteur news of President Granger shaking the hands of Shiv on the day he was sworn in as Guyana's 8th President.

* Kali will definitely be reaping benefits because of his pre-election endorsement of the APNU/AFC coalition.

I don't usually disagree with Holding, however he is wrong this time... Firstly, how do you drop someone who in the past 2 years has scored the majority of your runs and has only had 11 bad innings? Surely you continue to believe in your players. Sachin, Kallis, Ponting have all had momentary dips in form, that has never warranted their sacking... secondly, it should be a culture to honour cricketers who have done well. asking for one more series after giving the Windies 164, despite pay issues and other problems, isn't asking for too much.. SUCH DISRESPECT
