Blackwood today was a perfect example.  he is like a lil black kid with money in his pocket. the money like it hot, it want to leave his pocket, he don't know how to keep the money, how to save it.  it is impossible for him to save it..he have to spend it..he spends it and has no more..then regrets he did not save it.

but fr the lil black kid it have 2 flows banging him...one that tells him he is an arse no matter what he does, dat he doh know about money, dat he must spend it all when he get it, doh save none, be always broke, he doh know nutten abut anything.  so even when he grows up and gets a job he lives from paycheck to paycheck.

then there is the second aspect, the second flow:  those who suppose to know bettah, who have responsibility fuh the black kid, who grow up already and do know better and have assumed responsibility for the lil black kid wherever do not actually kerry out that responsibility and leave the kid blowing in the wind.

somebody taught Paint to be smart, how to live, how to max himself out to get what he wants,  they taught Paint long focus, patience,  caution and calculation. that is how Paint can be smarter than the years he has actually lived..because he has the benefit of 60-70 years of the lives of others who taught him. but it is clear from the way Blackwood bats no one taught hm a dam thing about smarts.  so he bats with all the smarts and mental organization of a lil black kid who never had money, now with a few cents in his pocket he shud not waste because more not likely in a while, does not know anything but to waste it indeed

dat is why the chiney and indian fellas arks 'weh he live.. ::confused::' when told of the black man who jess won the lottery.  those guys know deh will take all dat money easily by all manner of simple subtefuge bacuase the nig nog..unless he is those people who taught Paint...is impse.

jess look at how Blackwood got out off the no-ball.  it was a nutten ball, high on its way to the keeper.  Blackwood did not need to have anything at all to do with that ball.  the english bowl it there in full awareness of Blackwood's mental level and dat he is prone to play the arse, was likely to just go out of his way to touch that ball to a fielder..not to hit it hard if he is going to go anyway..just touch it like an arse and get out

it is unfortunate that many west Indian youth are still like that. not all are like Paint, a well brought up young man.  so if they are going to go with Blackwood they ought to know him and what he needs to get himself a successful career.  clearly Blackwood has talent but he does not have the time and opportunity to learn quick enough on his own, by experience only.  there is a major role for guidance in there to get Blackwood across.  that is clear.

if the wicb is not going to pay that role in Blackwoods cricketing life they might as well drop him now and forget about it because he will fail and they will drop him soon enuff..a wasted cricket life.  he fought his way to the end of the day and at many points he was clearly tired of the role he was forced to play, impatient and ready to give it all up.  but that is not the approach of a real batsman is it.

but the young man can bat and is worth an effort given the shortage of real batting class in the region right now.  if Blackwood is to go on Simmons has a job to do with that kid.  they also better get him an overseas contract for after the Oz comes. such exposure will be a powerful help in his development.

Simmons need to have a positive impact on the young man as early as tomorrow third day.  he must come out ready, prepared to bat all day long, fully into that mindset.  he must be ready tomorrow and all the way from now on to bat all day, everyday

lissen..paint have to larn to voop at times too you know.  today was a perfect situation in which to beat Tredwell rarse out of the attack.

Tredwell is a lil crappy no name off spinner..a generic type deh sell fuh less than name brands.

3-4 full blooded lash in his rarse would have neutralised dat skunt Tredwell completely, render him useless for the rest of the match..if not the series

real batsmen like Haynes, Greenidge and Riachardson would have creamed Tredwell so badly this would have been it fuh him.  those 3 alone wud have scored 400 runs against this england attack

It looks as though Moeen will return to the squad in time for the second Test in Grenada with Adil Rashid making way. This is disappointing as I thought this tour was the perfect opportunity to get a first hand look at Rashid at the Test level.

As much as I like Tredders, Rashid offers more with the bat and the ball. Surely he was deserving of a start after his impressive season with Yorkshire last year. Tredders is a real steady eddy, he does a good job of tying an end down but is not the wicket taker you need if playing just the one spinner.

Jordan is correct. WI have not yet made half the England total.

A lot depends on the two at the wicket but Blackwood looks as if he will gift his wicket at any time.

Over the years WI have gone from the fastest scoring test team to probably the slowest.

Or so it seems.

Perhaps the most perplexing aspect of AT&T Stadium, otherwise known as “Jerry World,” is the glare from the sun that bursts through the windows and shines directly onto the field. Time and time again the glare has impacted players’ visibility during games, yet Jerry Jones refuses to make any changes to account for the sun.

Rather than install curtains, Jones has previously said he feels it’s a home-field advantage to have that type of stadium factor impacting games. Well, the glare ended up benefitting the Chiefs early into Thursday’s Thanksgiving game, as a pass from Dak Prescott to George Pickens fell incomplete, at least in part due to the impact of the sun’s glare.

SerenaThis batting performance by the West Indies in the second innings blew me away. I kept closing my eyes and then rubbing and opening them again and sat transfixed as I watch that unbelievable partnership between John Campbell and Shai Hope. What a magnificent performance by these two! It just goes to show that patience, determination and effort can go a long way to improve the performances of the West Indies team. Let us hope that this effort by West Indies batsmen would not be a one-off performance, but will be the beginning of a renewed effort to improve the performances of the team, going forward.(13.10.2025, 09:28)(09:28)0

"As a competitor, you want to be the starter. But I prepare to be the starter, I know I'm a starter in this league.

But you have to be able to be grateful for your role...my role right now is to assist Russ and Jaxson to be the best that they can be while preparing to be the best that I can be.

No matter if I'm 3, 33, this is my first year being number 19, so it's always a first for everything.
