England took drastic measures to ensure a better contest in their second warm-up match in the West Indies, parachuting Jonathan Trott, Gary Ballance and Jonny Bairstow into the St Kitts & Nevis Invitation XI.
An agreement had already been struck to allow the tourists to bowl for a full 90 overs on day one, regardless of how many wickets tumbled, but with concerns over the quality of the local batting line-up still nagging, the hosts agreed to add the English trio to their top four.
That offers the unusual sight of Trott opening the batting against the likes of James Anderson and Stuart Broad, and should tell coach Peter Moores more about his side's form than another day of domination against outclassed opponents.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Once cook managed a ton you just knew the opposition was utter shite. Still it will be lauded as a return to form and that's probably part of the plan.

Cook does average a very respectable 46.94 against Australia with 4 centuries.

Stokes has made the most of these two warm up matches and Root continues to be a rock. On the downside, Ballance's poor run of form continues.

Personally, I would like to see them stick with Buttler. He performed fantastically in the three Test's against India last summer. Hopefully they will stick with consistency as it doesn't do anyone any good to keep chopping and changing.

You're delusional Chairman !! How about acknowledging the disgraceful reality of the 1st warm up embarrassment ??? Plus the further embarrassing exercise of borrowing players from the opposition ???!!!....... :-[
On the plus side ..... the three English players can now be considered 'honorary citizens' of SKN ... which you probably don't mind since it's not Guyana involved !!!
