T&T wicketkeeper/batsman Denesh Ramdin has been retained as captain of the West Indies cricket team for the upcoming three-Test series against England in the Caribbean, starting on April 13.
Ramdin got the nod to lead the West Indies team last year against New Zealand in the Caribbean started off with a narrow 1-2 loss. He then got a 2-0 win over Bangladesh who followed them to the Caribbean and then lost 2-0 to South Africa in two months ago.
There were rumours after the aborted Indian tour that there would be a change to the ODI leadership (which was done with Jason Holder replacing Dwayne Bravo) and that young opener Kraigg Brathwaite would replace Ramdin as Test captain.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

It's only a matter of time before KB is test captain.
If dem bajans did back Smiley Dave it could have been sooner rather than later.

Yes, I didnt expect Ramdin to get dropped. The selectors are far too conservative for this. Bishoo and Permaul won't get to play together either. The selectors might even choose Benn over both of them.

Good for Trinidad to retain Ramdin as captain. It makes no sense not having the West Indies test captain as captain of his territory and it would question the judgement of the WICB if Trinidad didn't find him suitable as captain.
