England don't have a great deal of young frontline bowlers on the horizon. The fact that the recent England Lions ODI squad that toured South Africa included the likes of Bresnan, Rankin, Plunkett, Gurney and Parry just emphasises this. I am also not sure why everyone is clamouring for Ben Stokes. He was really poor against Sri Lanka and not much better against India in the summer. Both Jordan and Woakes have surpassed him on the depth chart.

The problem with England is over coaching of the youngsters .
If a lad demonstrates flair , it would be coached out of them . They would never produce a Chris Gayle etc .
Emphasis on classic cover drives and they almost never go over the top .

The 2019 WC is in England so I imagine the ECB will be desperate to have a team that will do well.
