I agree that fans have lost interest and rightly so. Reckon for both formats the crowd attendance will be poor, but moreso for the Tests .... :-[ A lot will depend on how WI fare in this WC

Actually surprisingly England are only playing 2 warm up matches and 3 tests in the Caribbean. No ODIs or T20s.
One test in in Grenada where there have not been any games for a few years. Might get a few spectators there.
Of course there is a test in Barbados and the crowds there might be half decent.
As far as I know there is absolutely no attempt to market the tests to the other Caribbean islands and North America. By this I mean, for example, packages that include test match tickets and reasonably priced accommodation.

Well Gayle may retire from test cricket soon and so I think he will only be focusing on the shorter forms of the game. I think he may even decide to retire from one day cricket and only play t20 where he earns the majority of his money.

West Indies will hope that the laconic Chris Gayle has one of his good days, with a repeat of his 215 against Zimbabwe suiting them nicely. Jason Holder and Marlon Samuels could also help them get a decent score if required. Jerome Taylor looks to be the Windies best bet with the ball in hand.

Gayle should bat at 4 or 5 with about 20 to 30 overs remaining. He can't handle the moving ball as an opener as well anymore
