ENGLAND WIN!!
A loss against the Afghans might have resulted in the immediate sacking of Moores.

With a hint of sadness we must bid farewell to the mighty Afghans. You played with passion, you gave it your all.
Those expressive faces, the lack of inhibition when you celebrated and when you admonished your team-mates will be missed.
You might have lost today but you got stuck at the wrong end of the toss on a miserably rainy day.
Hope to see you play more international cricket some time soon...

Scant consolation for England from a woefully disappointing World Cup, underwhelming even my low expectations. I was glad to see Tredders and Ravi get a game. They have been unfairly overlooked. Hales rode his luck but scored quickly at the top of the order, a position where he should have started the World Cup.
