Glamorgan head coach Toby Radford says he is watching cricket around the world in a bid to find recruits.
Radford has targeted an overseas T20 player and also wants a seam bowler, with West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy unlikely to return after his six-game spell in 2014.
The short gap between the Indian and Caribbean Premier Leagues is limiting the number of potential signings.
"We're certainly looking round in all world cricket," Radford said.
"We've been watching the (Australian) Big Bash and seeing if there's any players that could come in… we haven't made any firm decision."
Sammy was a popular recruit for Glamorgan's T20 squad last year.
But Radford, who worked with the 31-year-old when he was batting coach with the West Indies, says the in-demand Sammy is unlikely to be available.
"Sammy is a great guy and is always playing with a smile on his face," Radford added.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
