GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC) -- West Indies batsmen Leon Johnson and Narsingh Deonarine have returned to Guyana Jaguars, front runners of the WICB Professional Cricket League (PCL) which resumes next week.
Johnson and Deonarine have been named in a 13-man squad after playing for West Indies against South Africa in the series which ended last week.
West Indies lost the test series, and the One-Day Internationals, but prevailed in the T20 matches.
Johnson and Deonarine are returning to a side that sits at the top of the table with 57 points after four rounds of matches.
The other members of the squad are Shemron Hetmyer, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Vishaul Singh (vice-captain), Raymon Reifer, Christopher Barnwell, Anthony Bramble (wicketkeeper), Veerasammy Permaul, Devendra Bishoo, Keon Joseph and Ronsford Beaton.
Guyana are due to play Jamaica, in second position on 50 points, when the competition resumes next weekend.
Barbados Pride are running third on 44 points, Windward Islands Volcanoes 26, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force 24, and Leeward Islands Hurricanes 10.
Devon Smith of the Windward Islands Volcanoes leads all batsmen in the tournament with the most runs so far, accumulating 334 followed by Johnson Charles with 262 and Guyana's Narsingh Deonarine on 206.
