I only saw bits & pieces of the game ..... but AUS put a thrashing on ENG there !!
Morgan's comments were a bit 'strange' re Mr. Mo ... that could be a winding up which could come back and bite him in de azz ;D
While he isn't concerned about England's repeat failings against Johnson, I reckon he should be ... he tore through their top order ..... 3/11 at one stage.

Undermeister,
Congrats pal!
I have posted in another thread, it was a woeful performance by the lads.
Not to even bat out the overs is a serious crime of West Indian proportions.
Thought we bowled well in the first 20 or so but then the Aussies unleashed.
A point to our selectors, Woakes......No! This chap featured a few years ago and there seems to be this obsession with him.
Jordan should play.
We got a serious drubbing and the batting can learn from the very slow start made by the Aussies
Well done fella and next time we will prevail!

I fully agree on Woakes. He is too expensive for me. Would you ever consider playing both Moeen and Tredders, Mail?

Dilly,
I have no problems with that in certain conditions but I am not sure how well Tredders will do in australia as he is no real turner of the ball!
Moeen is firstly a batsman for me. Moeen needs to be careful he does not fall on the wrong side of the selectors' chopper.
Did we not play both in Lanka?

Yes, both Moeen and Tredders played in Sri Lanka. Obviously the conditions and pitches are different in Australia/New Zealand than in Sri Lanka but Tredders as always did a great job of keeping the runs down even if he didn't turn the ball or take wickets. Tredders is still our most economical bowler. I don't understand why he didn't get even be game I the tri-series. It also looks as thigh Ravi is going to be used as a batsman only.

Dilly,
To be honest with you, I will always go for wicket takers, although being economical is a good trait
I was hoping Rashid would have featured by now as he was so groomed by the ECB. However he is scoring mo runs these days
I do it know of any spinners we have that I can endorse.
In subcontinental/ Windian conditions, Tredders is a must!
I could be wrong but if I was batting against him on faster pitches, he would be predictable and I would take very calculated chances!
Who do you think is our best spinner after Tredders in the shorter format?

If England are to play just the one spinner I would choose Moeen, especially as he helps to strengthen the batting. It does look as though England are going to field the same XI that played against Australia meaning Woakes keeps his place in the team. While he was consistently our fastest bowler, he struggled with his line and length, especially at the end.
I really hope Ravi can find some form with the bat. He has scored just 120 runs in his last 7 innings for an average of 17.14.
