Indian online shopping firm Yepme has agreed to sponsor the West Indies at next month's Cricket World Cup.
The company, which was founded four years ago, aims to use the tournament to strengthen its global brand.
“With a viewership of over one billion in the last tournament, we are expected to get guaranteed exposure making it a very profitable investment," said Sandeep Sharma, Yepme's founder and chief operations officer.
West Indies confident after securing ‘landmark’ deal
Nelecia Yeates, the West Indies Cricket Board's commercial manager, added: “We look forward to a mutually beneficial association as the West Indies team remains one of the most attractive cricket teams in the world and will be one of the favourite teams in the World Cupâ€.
Despite Yeates’ positive outlook, the West Indies head into the tournament, which begins on Valentine's Day and will be played across Australia and New Zealand, in indifferent form.
They begin their campaign against Ireland on 16th February in Nelson, New Zealand.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
