England captain Eoin Morgan says he will have a different approach to the role than predecessor Alastair Cook.
Cook, 30, was replaced by Morgan after England lost a fourth one-day series in row with a recent defeat in Sri Lanka.
"There will be certain things Alastair would do that I wouldn't just because it is his character and mine," said 28-year-old Morgan.
"When I've captained in the past I've tended to strip things back to the basics. That's my method."
Morgan's first game in charge will be against an Australian Capital Territory XI, starting at 23:00 GMT on Sunday, as England prepare for a tri-series with Australia and India.
England will also take on a Prime Minister's XI on Wednesday before facing Australia on Friday.
The tri-series will be used as a warm-up for the World Cup, which takes place in Australia and New Zealand between 14 February and 29 March

I am looking forward to see if Morgan's captaincy makes a difference.

Eoin Morgan
has been embroiled in a bizarre case of an Australian man demanding
£35,000 from the ECB otherwise he threatened to release "embarrassing" information
about a relationship Morgan had with an Australian woman five years ago.

Everytime Morgan has skippered his personal performances seem to improve.
He should ahve been Captain of the ODI team some time ago.
I hope we break the hoodoo....
