How do you leave these three blokes outta the XI?
Kapil Dev: The talented Indian all-rounder claimed 272 Test wickets in the 1980s and also chipped in with 3350 runs at just over 30.
Viv Richards: Many will be surprised that the original Master Blaster doesn't make the team but, based on their stats in the decade, who do you leave out?! Richards scored over 5,000 runs at an average just under 50.
Dennis Lillee: The Australian finished his Test career in 1984 but still found time to take 171 wickets at an average of 24.12 in the decade.

This is one absurd preposterous list.
No Viv Richards ? This is obviously a Eurocentric list

Richards scored 5000 runs in the eighties and a little over 3000 in the seventies. This stupid writer will then not include him in the seventies or eighties team in spite on scoring over 8000 runs in his career.
Yardstick being that he did nor play enough tests in either decade

Rambo,
I think a team of 7 players of colour is hardly Eurocentric, don't you?
However the criteria is quite strange because I thought the best team outside the dominant Windies team of the 80s was to be the output, yet 4 West Indians were included at the exclusion of Vivian who must be a sure pick. You would also have to consider Ambrose.
Hey ho another one of these meaningless lists!
