you see the mistake you are making. Kraigg is the man to take the series away from the saffies. Kraig is the man who can bat for 2 days. shive used to be able but he is 40 now. he must be there but from now what we get from shive is what we get
what we have to do is give Kraigg every chance to get going in which will be his real baptism in test cricket. any runs Tarzan scores and the manner in which he scores them will be the protection Kraig needs against this attack. that is the risk you have to take.
Chances are he will not score. chances are even less of Devon scoring. but as a horse for course Tarzan represents a much better chance than Devon to blast the red of the Saffie attack. anything like that from Tarzan..especially in the first test of the series sets up Kraig, who again, is the man with the capacity to score so many the Saffies would not win easy..or win at all
