Kaieteur News article.
Georgetown, Guyana - Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) will host Police in the first semi-final of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/Noble House Sea Foods second division two-day competition, starting tomorrow.
A keen contest is anticipated and the DCC pitch is likely to favour the batsmen; a high scoring encounter is expected since both teams have powerful batting line ups. Sherfene Rutherford, Ronaldo Renee, Tevin Imlach, Andrew Gibson, Kemol Savory and Raymond Perez will lead the home team in this area, while Ashmead Nedd, Dennis Squires and Lynden Lyght are likely to lead their bowling.
Police will depend heavily on Troy Benn, Sheldon Agard, Rawle Enmore and Shawn McPherson to post a sizeable total. A lot will depend on off-spinner Kelvin Leitch to restrict the opposition with support from Vishal Jaigobin, Benn and the lively Darson La Rose.
