Hong Kong could replace the West Indies at next year's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand if the two-time world champions are unable to resolve a pay dispute between the players and the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).
Reports in the Australian media have suggested Hong Kong, who narrowly failed to qualify for the World Cup (50 overs) tournament earlier this year, could be a replacement if the West Indies fail to resolve the contractual dispute by February. The World Cup starts in March.
A report on Cricinfo also stated the WICB was in danger of being suspended from the ICC for abandoning its tour of India last week. This could further boost Hong Kong's chances of making the World Cup.
I hope, for the betterment of the game, the West Indies Cricket Board can resolve its issues. But if it can't, we are ready and raring to go

Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
