But was it the shenanigans with the elbow that made them good? Was that the real reason for their deceptiveness? If you read the article or are familiar with what Ashwin said you will see what he gave as the reason for mimicking Ashwin's action. Is he on to something that the flexing of the elbow allows the bowler to do much more than what the non-flexing elbow allows?

Of course spin bowling will recover. Remember that these bans are only for Indian domestic cricket and the champions league. They can still play international cricket and cricket else where. When they get called out for suspect action on the international stage then that will be a different thing. I think Narine will be back for the South Africa series this year.
