Bridgetown, Barbados - The inaugural Player Draft of the West Indies Cricket Board's Professional Cricket League was staged today at Accra Beach Hotel in Barbados.

Below is a list of the 10 retained players by the six franchises in addition to the five players that were selected from the draft.

Barbados Franchise: Carlos Brathwaite, Jonathan Carter, Kyle Corbin, Miguel Cummins, Shane Dowrich, Ashley Nurse, Dwayne Smith, Kevin Stoute, Omar Phillips, Jomel Warrican; Tino Best, Shai Hope, Kenroy Williams, Ryan Hinds, Roston Chase.

the idea was to move players around but seems like they ended up right where were before


the Leewards were the who really needed help and they end up with nothing

Guyana veteran Sarwan to  Trinidad !

Wasnt there supposed to be pool of International players as well ??  :-\

Wow we got Sarwan..well done Red Force. Honestly I never expected much movement "across the islands" from the bigger islands in regional cricket in the first season. That's usually the case when you switch to a new system, people will work with what they know for now. By next year you'll see a lot more of the local boards picking from the other islands. Was expecting the leewards to pick more from the outside their own stock this year tho.
