RAIN forced a no-result in yesterday's third-round Zone A game between hosts St Elizabeth CA and Hanover CA at Manley Horne Park in the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) All-island 50 overs competition.

However, before the premature curtailment to the game, reduced to 25 overs per side because of a delayed start due to a damp pitch, former national left-handed batsman Shawn Findlay shone brightly with 100 not out in St Elizabeth's 225-9. Hanover were 75-3 off 10 overs when the rain came.

St Elizabeth moved to five points after the point gained from the no-result, while Hanover (one point) finally got off the mark.

Scores: St Elizabeth 225-9 (25 overs); Hanover 75-3 (10 overs).
