btw Rev, the very day this WC final being played there was a big benefit match being played in Miami for West Indies and Guyana greats, Kanhai and Gibbs!

Players who participated included:  Croft, Kallicharran, Bacchus, Nurse, Fredericks, etc.

At least he didn't clog up the middle, facing just 21 balls across his 5 innings of ineptitude.

Keith Arthurton was a useful player up till around 1994.  He was good batsman, brilliant fielder, and decent left arm spinner.

But after 94 he was as good a bat as Courtney Walsh and was a wheelie bin of a spinner.  Only his fielding remained to a high standard.

* Arthurton was always a shythound.

* Yes he scored 157* against Australia at Brisbane in 1992.

* And in 1994 he scored 126 against England at Sabina park.

* But on the whole he was dowmright mediocre.

* In 1995 Shiv was dropped against Australia to make room for Arthurton----in 3 tests Arthurton scored: 26, 5, 16 and 14

* Then in 1996 they took Arthurton  to England---his last 5 scores were: 0, 8, 17, 17, 13

* Arthurton's binary scores in the 1996 world cup marked the end of his mediocre career.
