England bowler James Anderson has claimed that Eoin Morgan is certain to play a key role if the team are to achieve success in one-day internationals over the next few months.
Alastair Cook's side will tour Sri Lanka to exclusively play limited overs cricket this winter, before turning their attentions to next year's World Cup with a tri-series against Australia and India prior to the series, and Anderson believes that Morgan will be a big factor despite his recent troubles on the international stage.
"He's going to be a huge player for us in the one day series in Sri Lanka and on to the World Cup," the 32-year-old stated during a commentary stint with Sky Sports.
"He's one of the most talented players I've played with and he's one of those match winners you need, especially in a big competition like the World Cup, and we're hoping for him to do well."
England will name their squad for the tour of Sri Lanka on Wednesday afternoon.

Wonderful. This is the type of pressure I like to see place on England's individual players and then when they fail to perform then the media will further batter their confidence. The world cup will be won by the team where all or most of the players perform well consistently and not by any one player. England loves to big up individuals and then blame them when they lose. I hope for Morgan's sake he performs at the world cup.

Hopefully Eoin can find some much needed form in the run up to the World Cup as he has struggled over his last 12 months of ODI's, averaging 31.33 with just one century in 16 matches.

Morgs? Hell yeah. Jimmeh? Not so much. He's never been that good an ODI bowler anyway.
The key is the batting - Morgan, Buttler, Root et.al and hopefully Cook not sucking ass. Then hope Jimmeh, Broad et al. can limit the damage.
