Shiv Chanderpaul who recently said he will continue to play for as long as possible has revealed to the cricket world that his minimum goal for his test career is scoring 13500 runs and his maximum goal is scoring 16000 runs.

Shiv has played 57 tests in the 8 years since Lara retired. He has scored 4948 runs at an amazing average of 71.71 with 16 hundreds and 25 fifties. Those are great numbers folks, but shockingly the only thing the haters see is NOT OUTS. They don't see the 71.71 average.

Well I don't see Chanderpaul going to 16000 runs unless he plays well over 200 test matches. His recent innings were too slow to achieve those goals over the next few years unless they West Indies play a lot of test cricket. Chanderpaul should just focus on surpassing Lara as West Indies leading run scorer in test cricket.
