Shiv obviously loves to bat and values his wicket and so the numbers will add up. They first rule of batting in test is to value your wicket and guard it like your life. Any batsman that can bat for long periods will eventually start to pile up runs and improve in all aspects of batting. At 40 years old Shiv is still one of the best in the world.

* Shiv needs one more hundred against Indian to share the record with Ponting Richards and Sobers
most hundreds against India(8 ).

Chanderpaul strike rate is zero .
When Brian Lara led a strike against management  for better remuneration and conditions , Chanderpaul betrayed the players and accepted the captaincy of the team that toured Sri, Lanka .
He was resented by the players for a long time .
I however was not surprised as Chanderpaul was more  concerned about his statistics

Shiv was being loyal to former Guyana Cricket Board President and WICB director Chetty Singh when he chose to betray his fellow players. Had it not been for the generosity of Chetty, Shiv would never have made it to the West Indies team. Shiv never forgot Chetty's kindness and remained loyal to him. It was Chetty who asked Shiv to lead the scab team to Sri Lanka. Shiv couldn't turn his back on Chetty, so he chose to betray his teammates.
