Canterbury Cricket says it has everything ready to be ticked off by the International Cricket Council in time for next year's World Cup.
The organisation was embroiled in a two-year legal battle over plans to develop Hagley Oval into an international venue.
It was given the go ahead by the Environment Court last year after a six week hearing, but there were concerns the development wouldn't be up to scratch in time.
CEO Lee Germon says the pavilion will be officially opened this afternoon, the final piece in the puzzle to get accreditation.
"The pavilion being completed is really the final piece in the puzzle to make sure that it's fit and ready and meets the ICC accreditation process for Cricket World Cup."
Germon says its extremely exciting to get to this point.
"We're all on track. The outstanding part of the project, or the thing that still needs to do really, is around looking to raise some money for lights.
"But we don't need lights for Cricket World Cup and we look forward to the ICC giving us a big tick in the middle of October."
The World Cup starts in February, with the first match to be held in Christchurch.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
