It seems that not only Bratwaite is infected by Chanderpaul slow batting style but now Darren Bravo has contracted the disease,
Chanderpaul has indeed changed Windies batting from the aggressive type to the plodding style,
This now appears to be the new normal. Sad really

This is like preaching to the deaf but is it any different to the insularity of Ketchim? No.
Like most objective Cricket fan, Shiv's performance on day 2 of the last test was abominable.
To Cricket lovers, irrespective of tribe, following the Kiwi series one would think Shiv is becoming a spent force.
Shiv's as a youngster, used his feet, was very proactive and I feel his greatness has been hampered by his lack of adventure and he would be remembered more for longevity that the excellent batsman he could have been.
However, to be objective, the majority of Shiv's career has been plagued by rear-guard actions as, more often than not; Shiv is in at very few-3.
Therefore Shiv has had to be conditioned to stay large and long. The fact is, he also likes to bat so he is a Godsend in many ways.
The team is made of many people and Shiv is but one and any team requires someone to bat forever and Shiv is that man for the Windies. My only real criticism is his reluctance to bat at 3 which make me wonder about his team attitude and the new Skipper is playing for the team and not any individual's personal goals.
All of this said I find you grossly disrespectful, a position not new to you, that you should even suggest Shiv is a negative influence. For me he is a binding force and bankable.
If you take today as an example, he was circumspect and why should he not be as 3 wickets fell for a handful of runs. Lil Bravo started of firing and Shiv was 'painfully' laborious but stepped it up which is what you need in Test Cricket.
Do you think, even with the great Windies team, if they did not have great bowlers the batsmen would be as carefree as they were?
We do not really know the SR of many players of the dominant period, do we?
It is good to discuss anything and Shiv should not be exempt but I think you are misguided, rude, disrespectful and quite wrong in your query and you should know that Jala.
This man has been a colossus for Windies bit had to said he could have been better I would have agreed as Shiv has become too defensive.

Ramesh is quite entitled to ask his question which is no more laborious than either you Rev or Ketchim.
Both of you do not welcome constructive comments/ observations, especially about tiger, and you accuse others of commenting in emotions but I fear you two are the most guilty.
The best way, in my humble view, to demonstrate your point is to state the facts.
If you look at your wavering views to the 'discussion' around Shiv's pedestrian approach on Day 2 of the last test you 'MAY' see what i mean. You agree with Cozier but then there was a caveat!
Even your theory of accumulated performance, which is worthy normally, meant the final result of 36 or so SR was crap.
For me I think your emotional defence of Shiv turns many off.
That said I believe Ramesh aka Jala is most disrespectful but entitled to pose the question as he ahs done ad infinitum....

OPINIONS ARE LIKE AS$HOLES, EVERYONE'S GOT AT LEAST ONE.
* So Ramesh is more than entitled to his opinion.
* May Shiv's success continue to sicken him.

In my view you are worse than Ramesh by your comments. Ramesh was not verbally abusive and he never really is.
You have not backed up any possible arguement with anything of substance Rev.

Like I said Rev.
You have not added anything new and nothing to substantiate an absent arguement...
Ramesh probably has more substance than you and Ketchim joined.
