As most would agree, Paint and Leon did well. They gave us a nice platform. Unfortunately, both got out in the 60s, which is frustrating. You need to cash in once you cross 60, especially when you set your stall to bat carefully.
Paint got out to a fluke shot, slashing at a wide ball, but I can't fault him much. And Leon? Well, we need to wait and see how Leon shapes up. I like his style, but he does seem to lose focus after a few hours.
Kirk Edwards seems washed up. He's had his chances, clung to none of them, and while stylish when hitting boundaries, his technique looks atrocious. He looks a massively vulnerable batsman.
Darren Bravo and Shiv are currently at the crease. I expect them both to hit careful centuries tomorrow, and one of them to go even further. Shiv was criticised for his strike rate last game, but circumstances are completely different now. This is a situation he oft finds himself in, and one in which "doing his thing" is the requirement.
Darren Bravo continues to rely too heavily on boundaries, wasting dot balls and failing to run singles. I would like to see Ramdin and Bravo coming in togther; I think Ramdin's running would have an influence on Bravo. Bravo has major problems rotating the strike.
Do we presist with Kirk? Who do we drop Kirk for? If Kirk comes good in the second innings, what do we do?
I'd like WI to send in Bangladesh to bat at 3:30ish pm tomorow, assuming WI can hit a total of 400 plus by then. If we have wickets at hand, though, bat on to the third day. I want to see some nice, clinical WI victories.

I guess a satisfactory day. Not excellent, but decent enough. And given that BD still lacks Shakib, they might be very relaxed.
And decent enough debut by Johnson.

Robiul Islam to Chanderpaul, no run, jags back appreciably from outside off as this one
strikes the pads of Chanderpaul, with Robiul hoping beyond hope that he will be given.
However, the umpire is not at all interested !
Much better pitched up bowling Today !

Taylor 10. Now full and wide from Al-Amin and Taylor crashes him through the covers for 4.
