Cardiff: Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar lavished praises on Suresh Raina's match-winning knock in the second ODI against England and rated the left-hander's hundred as one of the best ODI innings overseas.
"You have got to rate it as one of the best innings. You can't call it the top innings overseas. It's got to be Kapil Dev's 175 against Zimbabwe in the Prudential Cup in 1983, when India were 5 down for 17 on a pitch that was a lot more greener than any of the present pitches. So Raina's will be one of the top innings that was played by an Indian in overseas consitions," Gavaskar said
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Yeah it was a damn good innings - but one of the best? Hell no. Depends on your definition of "one of the best" too I guess, Gavaskar's is probably very, very broad than mine.
It's just damn good batting by Raina and spineless batting by Poms. It wasn't some sort of greentop and runs were there to be scored.

If i am asked on the best ever innings it has to be kapil Dev's 175..
hell of a match.India were staring down the barrel with half the side home against zimbabwe. It was a green tinge, much greener than this. That really was the best, though i didn't see it live.
This was some excellent batting and can be rated as one of the top notch innings abroad by an Indian.
