GAYLE Needs 27 Runs To Surpass SHIV In ODI's

OBSERVATION:

* Next ODI Gayle will join Shiv playing 251 innings.

* Gayle needs 27 runs to surpass Shiv.

* By the way Shiv scored 11 100s and 59 50s in his 251 innings.

* Gayle has 21 100s and 45 50s in his 250 innings to date.

* When Gayle surpasses Shiv he will become the 2nd highest runs scorer in ODIs for the WI.

* Had the nasty Otis Gibson not dropped Shiv form ODIs he'd still be playing today.

* Oh well! That is the past---congrats in advance to Chris Gayle on becoming the 2nd highest runs scorer in WI one day history.

Shiv should not have been dropped from the ODI team following the WC as, I believe and correct me if I am wrong, he was reasonably successful and acquitted himself with aplomb!

Now is too late........

Its been 3 yrs since chanders last played an ODI and had he still played,he would have gone past lara with ease.His avg too was better than Lara's.Gibson deserves a thwack on his back for taking him out of the equation.
Anyways let at least Gayle move past LARA in ODI's,he has been a great batsman and a force to reckon with.He deserves the top spot after playing for nearly 15 years.

that's a long chase  I don't think Gayle will make his playing days seems numbered
