Georgetown, Guyana - After a long delay due to the inclement weather the final of the 2013 Ramcharitar Construction Service First Division 50-over competition in Berbice is now scheduled for tomorrow at the Albion Community Centre Ground.
Defending champions Albion Community Centre will do battle with Police in a match which promises to be interesting. Albion will be at full strength with Narsingh Deonarine, Devendra Bishoo, Veerasammy Permaul, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Jonathan Foo, Kandasammy Surujnarine and Gudakesh Motie all available.
Also in the squad is this year’s Guyana Under-19 players Sharaz Ramcharran and Balchand Baldeo.
However the strength of Albion will come up against a Police team that boosts no big players but a set of players who can hold their own collectively having defeated giants including Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets and Young Warriors Universal DVD. Police have also consistently registered scores of over 200.
At the helm for the lawmen will be all-rounder Albert Sinclair, Michael Newland and Kwesi Mickle; spinners Rocky Hutson, Kurt Griffith and Andel Doris. Youngsters Clifton Lindee and Leon Andrews can also give the Albion bowlers some headaches.
The umpires are Imran Moakan and Zaheer Moakan with Omadat Samaroo as the standby.
Play is scheduled to start at 09:30hrs tomorrow.
