Selecting any cricket team anywhere is very difficult. When it comes to West Indian teams, the process becomes so fraught with insinuations, innuendoes, even insider politics, that an already thankless job becomes almost impossible. Whatever selectors do, they will never please everyone everywhere.
Like predicting stock markets, selectors should follow their intuition and reliance on situations which are not always obvious or even existent. They have to take bold chances and choices, mostly believing heads more than hearts, using foresight, very hard tasks indeed. But the changes published by West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) that former WI captain Clive Lloyd will head a revamped WICB selection panel.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

The question now is, what's the best team selection vs Bangladesh and India?
My test team and batting order:
Gayle
Paint
Darren Bravo
Kirk Edwards
Chanderpaul
Blackwood
Ramdin
Narine
Badree/Holder
Taylor/Gabriel
Roach/Cottrell
My ODI team and batting order:
Gayle
Lendl Simmons
Darren Bravo
Kirk Edwards/Paint
Dwayne Bravo
Blackwood/Andre Russell
Ramdin
Badree/Holder
Narine
Roach/Cottrell
Taylor/Gabriel
My T20 team and batting order:
Dwayne Bravo
Lendl Simmons
Darren Bravo/Ramdin/Pooran
Gayle
Pollard/Andre Russell
Barnwell/Andre Russell/Walton
Narine
Badree
Rampaul
Roach/Holder
Gabriel/Cottrell
We need to slowly get Paint to play ODIs. Bangladesh might also be a good place to drop Shiv and Gayle for at least one game to let some younger players play, but Shiv needs to play in India; he averages highest in India. Gayle was useless in the last tours of India and Bangladesh. You could probably drop him in tests there to try a younger player. You can also drop Darren from T20s and try someone else. Taylor doesnt seem to bowl well in T20s.

It only becomes difficult when there are so many talented players to choose from but that is that the case with the west indies. They are not over flowing with talent but rather it is the politics of the selectors and board that results in the best team not being selected consistently.
