Taking a dig at the Indian approach ahead of the Old Trafford Test, former England skipper Andrew Strauss has said that the visitors not only need more aggression but will also find it extremely difficult to win a Test match with four bowlers in their XI.
"I think India have a big problem if they are playing with only four bowlers. That is a mistake. I don't think they can win matches with just four bowlers," opined Strauss.
"I understand they want to select a team based on conditions and pitch. But considering those factors, they got it completely wrong at the Ageas Bowl. The pitch at Southampton has a reputation of turning towards the end of the match. So I was very surprised to see them not play R Ashwin there," said Strauss.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Given that Old Trafford has historically favoured spin bowling you have to imagine that Ashwin will be selected for the fourth Test.

Well, sorry to burst his bubble but I think they did actually win with 4 bowlers in Lords. Binny hardly even bowled in the match and India still won the match comfortably. I think it is just the English media that is trying to put pressure on the Indians to try and get them to make further mistakes. All of these pundits were after Cooks blood just a test match back!

Funny to how times change.Strauss,Vaughan and others were calling for cook's head before Southampton..but now..they praise him as if he has won the test series.
Old Trafford has recently been favoring spin acc to reports..Shd it,England will have a tough time, with Ash in the reckoning for a place.

Ah, but that it sport, or more particularly sports journalism, isn't it? Cook is a good case in point. He has gone from being the best thing since sliced bread to useless and now seems to be coming back again.
As for the next test being winnable (or not) with 4 bowlers, why not? As always, it is going to depend a lot on the pitch and if it is turning, who knows?

No arguments on the first..!!..he seems to be finding his feet again and more importantly the purple patch.
No..4 bowlers is never enough, not at least in India's case.A 3+2 will be ideal, but who knows what dhoni will do on that day...
Do you think Binny should get a look in ahead of jadeja..??
