Guyana won its second youth cricket title this week sealing the West Indies Cricket Board Regional Under-19 Three-Day title with a crushing win over T&T on the final day of the tournament yesterday in Guyana. Guyana also claimed the regional U-15 crown on Wednesday in Jamaica, dethroning defending champions T&T. Yesterday the Guyana U-19 team got past T&T by an innings and 41 runs to lift the title.
T&T started its second innings yesterday needing 193 runs to make Guyana bat again. The opening pair of Jeremy Solozano and Amir Jangoo started positively for T&T putting on 62 for the first wicket. Unfortuantely for T&T when Solozano was dismissed for 22 a collapse followed. Guyana had victory in sight with T&T on 80/6 at the lunch interval. T&T was eventually bowled out for 152, handing Guyana an emphatic victory. T&T’s top batsman in the tournament Amir Jangoo struck 35. Guyana’ spin bowling attack again proved to be the difference as Sharaz Ramcharran (3/25) and Steven Sankar (3/42) both ended with three wickets.
In other matches, Barbados chased down 117 to defeat the Leeward Islands by eight wickets at Enmore. At the Guyana National Stadium, Windward Islands held on for a draw against Jamaica. Chasing 111 in 19 overs for victory, Jamaica closed on 95/5. The 50-over U-19 competition bowls off on Monday in Guyana.

Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
