Georgetown, Guyana - The New York Blasters Cricket Club will be playing a series of matches throughout Guyana during their tour here in August.
The Blasters will play their first match on Thursday August 14 at Rockaway cricket ground, Stratsphey E.C. Demerara. On Friday August 15 they will be playing at the Banks DIH ground in Georgetown in a night game, while on Saturday August 16, Chesney Corentyne Berbice is the venue for their next game.
Sunday August 17 the New York team will be at Canal #1 ground, on Wednesday August 20 they will play at Cornelia Ida ground on the West Coast Demerara and final game of the tour is billed for the Everest cricket ground on Friday August 22.
The New York Blasters are winners of the first 20/20 tournament in “New York Big Bash 2014â€. Team Manager is Mr. Hafeez Ali of Rockaway Roti Shop & Taxi Service.
The New York Blasters team is as follows: Shameer Sadloo, Deryck McDonald, Robert Narine, Shivnan Ramjattan, Sudesh Dhaniram, Zaheer Saffie, Hafeez Ali, Everard Gonsalves, Parsaram Beepat, Hemendra Ramdihai, Saud Hossein, Ameer Khan, Hemraj Chanderpaul, Sanjay Dhaniram and Moin Sadloo.

I was curious enough to look up the oldest players in Test cricket. Wilfred Rhodes holds the record. He was 52 in his final appearance for England. The oldest Test player in the last 20 years was John Emburey at 43 years and 344 days. The oldest Test player in the last decade was Alec Stewart at 40 years and 153 days.
