The Sydney Herald reports that Pietersen will receive a bonus of around $100,000 (£55,000) from the Stars making him the highest paid Big Bash player.

Kevin Pietersen seems to be signing a lot of t20 contracts all over the world. I hope he will show up in Melbourne unlike what he did to the St Lucia Zouks. The Zouks invested in him hoping to change their fortunes but were left hanging because he had to play for a team in England.
