Not only did Hashim Amla fail with the bat(11 &22), but he is in danger of losing his first test as captain. Did he declare too early ?

* Amla set Sri Lanka a 370 target.

* Sri lanka 110/1---the prolific Sangakkara(58*) at the wicket.

* NZ captain McCullum was recently rewarded for his boldness----declaring overnight and setting WI a 306 target.

* It will be a huge surprise if Sri Lanka were to pull off a victory.

* But keep in mind---the Lankans have not lost a test series in Lanka since 2006.

CORRECTION:

* Just checked---SL has lost only 1 test series in Lanka since 2006.

* Steyn is the #1 ranked bowler in the world.

* Philander is the #3 ranked test bowler in the world.

* Amla scored 11 and 22 in the first test against Sri Lanka.

* As stated above---Amla was ranked #3 according to the ICC ratings----going into the first test.

* THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE AMLA WILL DROP TO #4----maybe #5
