At 128/6 and 150/7 England were in complete control of the game and India looked likely to be skittled out for well under 200.
As has been the case recently, England have been unable to make quick work of the tail.
All credit to India, they fought back well and will put a respectable first innings score on the board. Should be a really interesting second day of cricket tomorrow.

Good fight back by India. Let's see what use their bowlers make of the wicket.

With his dismissal of MS Dhoni, Stuart Broad became the eighth Englishman to take 250 Test wickets. Broad stands 38th on the list of all time test wicket takers.
Listed below are the top 10 English test wicket takers.
1. Ian Botham (383)
2. Jimmy Anderson (363)
3. Bob Willis (325)
4. Fred Trueman (307)
5. Derek Underwood (297)
6. Graeme Swann (255)
7. Brian Statham (252)
8. Stuart Broad (251)
9. Matthew Hoggard (248)
10. Alec Bedser (236)
How many wickets do you think Broad finishes his career with?
As an aside note, it is staggering to think that Broad is 38th on the all time list, still 549 wickets short of Murali!

I agree. I think Jimmy will ultimately end up as England's leading wicket taker though it will be interesting to see just how close Broad gets to him. Broad is almost 4 years younger than Jimmy so he does have time on his side.
It's a shame that Jimmy will likely end up missing the final 3 tests against India. I suspect he would have been in with a shout of catching Botham before summers end.

Wait, so Anderson play 30 more tests than Trueman and he only have 56 more wickets.

Rahane what an innings, quality. 300+ looks a decent total tbh. All depends on Poms' batsmen especially middle order. Fingers crossed.

That surely will be a special wicket for him, because it was of the Indian Captain.Of the current lot,he is the slowest to reach this land mark right.?.I think Anderson will surely reach the 500 wicket mark, because he will play another 40 odd tests. How much has stuart played..?
