67 without loss after 15 overs
14.5
Perera to Petersen, FOUR, mistake from the bowler as he goes short and Peterson goes back
and past a diving point. Made his own width by staying beside the ball..

Elgar 53*
16.5
Perera to Petersen, OUT, huge shout, prolonged shout and Kettleborough has sent him on his way.
But Peterson has asked for a second opinion. This was on a good length and the batsman went back, hoping to clip it through square leg. It was the straighter one as well, strikes him around middle and leg. Hawk-Eye reveals it would be umpire's call by clipping leg stump.
Looked a lot closer than that to the naked eye
AN Petersen lbw b Perera 34

Elgar : 60*
25.5 :Herath to Elgar, FOUR, shuffles away towards the leg side to take full toll
24.4 :Perera to Elgar, FOUR, Elgar whacks it through midwicket to raise a composed half-century
24.1 :Perera to Elgar, SIX, launched over the top and he clears the wide long-on boundary.

Superb from SL...impressed again....Ability to keep chipping away in good batting conditions and tough start. Well in the game!!!

It was advantage SA,after Elgar and Duplessis had stretched a 125 run partnership, but i don't know how SA lost the plot from there.Amla,ABD,and Faf,all out Amla actually threw it away,he did not read that flighted ball and i hope SA go past the 400 mark. That should put them in a commanding position.

Well , I see a JP and De Kock partnership.
need Duminy to calm him down with frequent mid pitch meetings !

Wow, Elgar has certainly stepped up his game hasn't he. Congrats laddie.
I'm not exactly holding my breath here re: Duminy partnership. What a waste when your middle order throws it away. Although Philander could score some runs tbh and help SA with a decent first innings score.
