New Zealand off-spinner Kane Williamson has been reported with a suspected illegal bowling action during the second cricket Test against the West Indies, which concluded in Port of Spain on Friday.
Williamson was reported at the end of the match by umpires Ian Gould, Richard Illingworth and Rod Tucker, all from the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires, as well as Chris Broad of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees.
Mr Broad handed over the copy of the report to the New Zealand team manager on Friday.
The umpires’ report cited concerns over a number of deliveries that they considered to be suspect and believed that his action needed to be tested.
Williamson’s bowling action will now be scrutinised further under the ICC process relating to bowlers reported in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. The off-spinner is required to undergo testing within 21 days, and, during this period, he is permitted to continue bowling in international cricket until the results of the testing are known.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

This really sucks for him, those people who ratted are so cruel. i understand if you've done wrong you deserve the consequences of your actions bus oh gosh. As well as I'm a bit confused on why they continued to let him bowl if he's under investigation?

Williamson will be allowed to continue to bowl until the test results are known.
Does that mean the benefit of doubt goes to him.?/ ian gould has been in the thick of actions and he even reported senanayake's actions recently. If this is a crackdown on illegal actions by ICC,then this must be applauded..at least some steps in the right direction.

It is great to see a player other than a West Indian reported for suspect action. For a long while it seems to me that only West Indies bowlers who were effect in a match was reported by these umpires and match officials. I hope that Williamson gets tested and if he is in violation then he should be banned like other other bowler until he corrects his action.
