here is another record he held. Keep in mind this was 1974, right after he had no option but to retire from test cricket. He wanted to go to India that year to end his test career but it was not to be.

This was one of the reasons why they called him back for the Worldcup in 75. After Sobers could not make it they asked him cause he was in outstanding form!
