I don't know. Are they still banking on prior? If he's not in shit form, I'd take him anyday for sure. But I would consider Buttler as a backup option tbh. His keeping skills are far from bad, and he can defo bat. Although I doubt he could have much of a FC career, i.e. scoring them big tons and whatnot.

Although I tend to agree, I do not think a Captain should be saying this publicly.


However I would not be surprised if he makes his debut against the Lankans if Prior is still unfit to keep.

He averages 32 in first class.His glove work also needs to improve if he is to have any realistic chance of getting into the test side.He should do more to justify his case,probably some more first class cricket.
