Minister of Culture Youth and Sports, Dr. Frank Anthony on Monday signalled his support for the Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association’s (GFSCA) quest to illuminate more grounds across Guyana.
Dr Anthony made the disclosure after endorsing the commissioning of the recently elected floodlights at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground in Queenstown.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

So minister Anthony shows up at DCC ground to commission lights there. But the fans at Albion were disappointed with the expected turning on of flood lights at that ground because it appears like the right government officials were not prepared to attend that event. So the lights at Albion were order to be turned off . Clearly the government is more concerned with having a ceremony and having the president and cabinet show up for photo-ops before allowing fans to enjoy the facility. This proves how petty this government is when it comes to developing local sporting facilities.
