LAHORE – All rounder Shahid Afridi has said that both Pakistan and India should play cricket, and that the sports should not be linked with politics.
Talking to journalists here on Friday, he said that Pakistan always took initiative to restore cricket ties with India. To a question, Afridi said that hundred per cent fitness was truly a big deal in cricket.
He said that every player with the best performance should be given ‘A Plus’ central contract. To another question, the all rounder said that repeated changes at the top of the Pakistan Cricket Board would give a bad name to Pakistan.
He also admitted to his desire to captain the Pakistan team but was not desperate for it. He also said that Pakistan’s captaincy was not a bed of roses, but certainly an honour. He said that he was absolutely fit and thoroughly enjoying the summer camp.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
