England all rounder Ben Stokes is on the brink of a return to the game after two months out, having recovered from the broken wrist he inflicted upon himself in the West Indies in March.

The fiery player punched a locker after being dismissed in the Caribbean, and broke a small bone in his wrist near his thumb. He thus missed the World Twenty20 and the current series against Sri Lanka.
