West Indies cricket legend Sir Garfield Sobers to visit Frinton Cricket Club

One of the World’s greatest Cricketers Sir Gary Sobers will visit Frinton next month to cement the growing relationship between Frinton Cricket Club & the Barbados Cricket Association.

Ex-captain Russell Everson explained: “This is a huge honour for the club and the town of Frinton.

“We have developed close ties with Barbados in recent years by signing two of their up and coming players, Raymon Riefer and Justin Greaves, as our overseas players.

“Sir Gary is an ambassador for Barbados Cricket and wanted to see what we are doing at Ashlyns Road.

“He is coming on Friday 27th June to visit the club and will then host a dinner at the tennis club at which he will talk about his life in cricket and take questions from the audience.”

Tickets for the dinner (£40) which comprises a three-course meal with coffee can be purchased through Russ Everson on 07432 689935 or by email through www.frintoncc.com
