Former fast bowler Colin Croft agreed that Ramdin would be a good leader and had the experience to do a good job, but hoped his batting would take an upward turn. He also said that, unlike Sammy, Ramdin's place would not be in question.
Croft said: "With 56 Tests already under his belt, including four centuries, and 161 dismissals behind the stumps, Ramdin has just the right experience in Tests to command respect and demand excellence. However, his batting average in Tests, 27.25, has to improve.
"This appointment will certainly be a massive challenge for Denesh. But at least in Ramdin's case, there will not be any conjecture as to whether he deserves his place in the team or not, Ã la Sammy. Right now, by a long way, Denesh is easily the best wicketkeeper in the Caribbean."
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Some of these fellas just talk for the sake of talking.
Ramdin has played 14 tests in the last couple of years starting with the series in England where he pulled out the paper.
His average over those 14 tests is 44.29 with 3 centuries.
That is part of the reason why his critics have had to to keep their mouths shut - prior to that he was regularly lambasted by many particularly bajans.
So Croft is talking rubbish because his batting has improved tremendously.
