Jamaica batsman Jermaine Blackwood hopes to use the upcoming series between West Indies High Performance Centre (WIHPC) and Bangladesh 'A' to strengthen his chances of gaining selection to the West Indies senior cricket team.
The shot-making Jamaican, who was the top run-scorer during the just-concluded WICB Regional Four-Day Tournament, is set to make a return to the WIHPC outfit, which will be engaged in a seven-match series with the Bangladeshis.
"It's a good opportunity for me to go out there and make some runs and let the selectors see what I can do," said Blackwood.
"It has been going well for me this season, but I did not get as much centuries as I would have liked and would want to use this series to change that.
"I would like to score at least one century and a half-century in the four-day matches and look to take it from there," he added.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
