West Indies coach Ottis Gibson has become the latest man to reject rumours he could take the vacant England job. Windies coach rejects England post talk The 44-year-old previously worked under former boss Andy Flower before heading home to the Caribbean to take over the Windies in 2010, a decision that has paid dividends, with him leading them to World Twenty20 glory two years ago. Gibson is currently preparing his players for their title defence which begins next month in Bangladesh, with his side set to play three ODIs and the same amount of T20 matches against England, with the first 50-over clash taking place on Friday. The coach's exploits with the West Indies have seen him suggested as a possible candidate to become the next England mentor following Flower's recent resignation but the former pace bowler has now rejected these rumours and says he is happy in his current role. "My name is firmly in the hat for this job I'm doing," said Gibson. "The West Indies job is tough enough, and I'm fully committed to this one to get it right and improving the fortunes of West Indies cricket. "When you're not working then every job appeals to you, but at the moment I'm working and working hard - so that is all I'm looking at right now."
