Asia Cup: Will Bangladesh lose event to Sri Lanka?

Bangladesh's fate as Asia Cup hosts depends on an Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Sri Lanka this week. The political strife in Bangladesh is a cause for worry as teams may not be willing to travel to Dhaka which is scheduled to host three major international cricket events between January and April.

Is it that big a deal? I thought a lot of international players played their domestic tournament recently? Or did the whole incident set off recently?
Better safe than sorry etc. obviously though. But I'd never realized it's that huge an issue. What a loss for Bangladesh. And their fans turn up in huge volumes too, much more than SL. Such a shame.
